The point guard position has long been one of the most important in basketball. The point guard is responsible for running the offense, setting up teammates for shots, and providing leadership on the court. Over the years, there have been many great point guards in the NBA, but only a few can be considered the greatest of all time.
To determine the greatest point guards in NBA history, we considered a number of factors, including assists, steals, All-NBA team selections, and other individual awards. We also took into account the impact that each player had on his team and the game of basketball as a whole.
Based on these factors, we have compiled a list of the top 10 greatest point guards in NBA history:
