Nerlens Noel Signs with the Brooklyn Nets

Experienced Center Adds Depth to Nets Roster

Former Piston and King Joins Brooklyn

Free agent center Nerlens Noel has signed a deal with the Brooklyn Nets, according to his agent. The 29-year-old big man provides depth and experience to a team looking to contend for an NBA championship.

Noel, a former first-round pick of the Philadelphia 76ers in 2013, has spent time with five different teams throughout his career. He has averaged 7.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game over the course of his career.

The Nets have been in need of a backup center behind All-Star Nicolas Claxton. Noel fills that void, bringing a physical presence and defensive versatility to the team. His ability to rim-protect and rebound will be valuable assets for the Nets.

With Noel's addition, the Nets now have a solid core of players in place. The team boasts a three-headed monster in Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and James Harden, along with a supporting cast that includes Claxton, Seth Curry, and Joe Harris. The Nets are hoping that with this roster, they can finally break through and win their first NBA championship.
