October 24, 2018 - Borussia Dortmund cruised into the Champions League quarter-finals with a resounding 4-0 victory over Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, powered by Jadon Sancho's first goal in the competition.
The 18-year-old England international opened the scoring for Dortmund in the 33rd minute, slotting home after a neat pass from Marco Reus. Paco Alcacer doubled the lead just four minutes later, before Thomas Delaney made it 3-0 in the second half.
Axel Witsel added a fourth goal late on to seal a comfortable victory for the German side. The result marked the first time Dortmund had scored four goals in a Champions League match at home.
Dortmund, who lost the first leg 2-0 in Madrid, will now face either Manchester City or Tottenham Hotspur in the quarter-finals.
